Sedlescombe Parent and Teacher Assosication
Welcome to our PTA Page.
The PTA has had another successful year of fundraising and on this page we want to celebrate the work of our fantastic PTA. The PTA couldn’t succeed without you and your continued support for the fundraising events that they organise.
The PTA provides essential support in providing resources, treats for the children and equipment for the school which we couldn’t afford otherwise, especially with the current cuts in funding for education.
The children at Sedlescombe Church of England Primary School are taught and encouraged to be proud of their school and the importance of volunteering and helping others. We feel that parents and teachers working together to support the school provides a positive role model for the children.
Our PTA team is very active in organising events for the children and parents. In the past year events have included our annual Christmas Fair, Summer Strawberry Fair, School Discos, Cinema Nights, Easter Egg Hunt and Masquerade Evening and Barn Dance. See upcoming events for our next PTA fundraising event or click on the links below to find out about our next events:
We are holding a school disco for the children on Friday 12th October in the school hall. Full details are available on the poster, but please note that tickets must be pre-booked using the booking form below. We look forward to welcoming lots of children along for a dance and a hot dog.
Dragon Boat Race
Thank you to our amazing dragon boat team and everyone that sponsored us. Currently we have raised over £1,000. A brilliant team effort – thank you everyone.
The PTA Annual General Meeting is being held on Tuesday 6th November at 2:00 pm in the school hall and will be followed by our first PTA meeting of the year. All parents are invited to attend and come along to support the PTA in fundraising for the children at our school.
In the last year the funds raised by the PTA have been used to buy four interactive whiteboards to support quality teaching for our children. The PTA also supported the makeover of the Key Stage 1 library and are currently helping us to resource new books for the library as well.
